This is the Privacy Policy of the website (the “Website”) made available by MakeupBees. (“MakeupBees,” “we,” or “us”), as well as for the access to and use of any services supplied to you by MakeupBees (“Services”).  Such Services may be supplied to you through the Website or through downloadable applications provided by MakeupBees (“Applications”).  This Privacy Policy describes the information that we collect from you as part of the normal operation of the Website, Services, and Applications, as well as how we use and disclose this information.  From time to time, MakeupBees may revise this Privacy Policy, said revisions taking effect immediately and without notice to you.

By accessing or using the Website, the Services, or the Applications, you expressly consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Website Terms of Use.  People who access or use the Website, Services, or Applications are called “Users.”  All other capitalized terms have the meaning ascribed to them in the Website and Applications Terms of Use (“Terms”), available at www.MakeupBees.com.

1. What Information We Collect

We may collect basic identifying information from Users, including but not limited to name, email address, and telephone number.  For Users that access or use the Services, whether through the Website or Applications, we may collect other identifying information, including login information, password, credit card information (credit card number, expiration date, security code, and billing zip code) or other payment information, and postal address.  We may collect a photo from each User, but only if such photo is voluntarily uploaded to the User’s account profile.  We may collect the above information, for example, during the account registration process or through forms you voluntarily submit to us.

We may collect information regarding the usage of the Website, Services, and Applications, such as a User’s IP address, mobile device unique number, web browser information, mobile software and hardware information, pages or areas visited within the Website, Services, or Applications, and what time said pages and areas are visited.

We may collect information regarding the location of a User accessing the Website, Services, or Applications, such as geographic area (state and city) and GPS coordinates.

From Users who send e-mail inquiries to MakeupBees or request information from us, certain personal information you provide will be used only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

We may collect information that Users submit to the Website, Services, or Applications, such as comments, uploaded media or Content, contributions to discussions, or messages to other Users.

We may collect information on Users provided to us by third parties (e.g., independent contractors that provide Services), such as a User rating or information regarding a User’s preferences.

From Users who wish to apply for a job with MakeupBees, we collect personal information such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, education, prior work experience, gender, and ethnicity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We store and use personal information for many purposes.  The information we collect is used to improve the content of the Website, the quality of the Services and Applications, and fill open positions within our organization. The information we collect is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except (i) as necessary to provide the Services, (ii) when we have your permission, or (iii) when it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Terms, or as otherwise required by law.

Other than for MakeupBees’s marketing purposes, we do not use your email address or other personal information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent.  Although our suppliers of web-related services may see your personal information, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, neither we nor they will send such information to anyone else outside of MakeupBees or its affiliates without your permission.  We may use your name, usage history and email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major updates, customer service needs, or items for which you have requested communication).  In addition, for any User that originates from one of our third party partners, we may share such User’s name, telephone number, email address and transactional details (i.e. the Services requested by or performed for such User) with such third party partner.

We use cookies, web beacons, log file information and similar mechanisms to: (a) store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Website or access the Applications; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed, or the areas of Applications most frequently used; and (e) track your entries, submissions, and status in promotions, sweepstakes, and contests.  Our Website and Applications do not respond to “do not track” signals from browsers.  Thus, your selection of the “do not track” option provided by your browser may not have any effect on our collection of cookie information for analytic and internal purposes.  To effectively manage our collection of cookie information, you may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies through the settings associated with your browser. But, please note that if you choose to erase or block cookies, you will need to re-enter your information to gain access to certain parts of the Website and Applications and may not be able to access other parts of the Websites or Applications.

We reserve the right to share your information to respond to duly authorized information requests of governmental authorities or where required by law. In exceptionally rare circumstances where national, state or company security is at issue, we reserve the right to share our entire database of Users with appropriate governmental authorities.

3. How We Store and Protect Information

MakeupBees uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Website and  Applications.  Although MakeupBees and its licensors own the code, databases, and all rights to the Website and Applications, and any feedback you provide, you retain all rights to your data.

We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information and Content from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information and Content for improper purposes. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

Aspects of the MakeupBees Website and Applications may allow Users to submit Content and comments publicly.  You acknowledge that we may reproduce, distribute, and publish public Content and comments.  You also acknowledge that such Content and comments are publicly accessibly.  MakeupBees cannot monitor access to public Content or comments by third parties and therefore cannot ensure the privacy or security of such information.  MakeupBees is not responsible for the misuse of any public Content or comments.

4. Transfer of Customer Information

Customer lists and information are properly considered assets of a business.  Accordingly, if we merge with another entity or if we sell our assets to another entity, our customer lists and information, including personally identifiable information you have provided us, would be included among the assets that would be transferred and we would request that the entity treat your information in accordance with these terms.

In addition, MakeupBees will not and cannot censor or edit the content of any third party website.  You expressly relieve MakeupBees from any and all liability arising from your use of any third party website.  Accordingly, we encourage you to be aware of and read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each other website that you visit.  You acknowledge that your access of any links to social media features on the Website or Applications (e.g., links to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) is governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of the companies providing such social media features.
